about
this song was written in an hour, quicker than any of our other songs—it was liberating and so refreshing how it came together. it's an energetic and exciting song for us, so having it as our second single feels right!
our diy video came together pretty quick too—it was filmed on a phone, a neighbour lent us some lights, we bought a £15 costco cake and some matching shirts and pom poms and (producer) rich mandell did the edit. it really complements the song and was very fun to make.
lyrics
i don’t know how to make plans
guitar heavy in my hands
i don't know where i'm gonna go
i'm reading off my phone notes
i don't know what you're doing, i don't know how to be sane, there’s always something itching at me from the back of my brain,
(breathe it out, breathe it in)
I don't know what you're doing, i don't know how to be sane, there's always something itching at me from the back of my brain
(breathe it out, breathe it in)
i’ve got a lot to offer
my bones aren’t holding me up
i'm craving clearer weather
just to relieve the pressure
i don't know what you're doing, i don't know how to be sane, there’s always something itching at me from the back of my brain,
(breathe it out, breathe it in)
I don't know what you're doing, i don't know how to be sane, there's always something itching at me from the back of my brain
(breathe it out, breathe it in)
no worries if not
no worries if not
no worries if not
no worries if
i don't know what you're doing, i don't know how to be sane, there’s always something itching at me from the back of my brain,
(breathe it out, breathe it in)
i don't know what you're doing, i don't know how to be sane, there's always something itching at me from the back of my brain
(breathe it out, breathe it in)

Lovely album, Fresh have really honed their sound without losing the joy of the early stuff. The album runs to about half an hour, which I also like (cf. It's a shame about Ray). Sam Baguley
saw this live when they were performing with Jeff Rosenstock. The Goosebumps from seeing the pure emotion in the finale was so raw and passionate. it made me appreciate being able to attend live music again! vvilko
